Minidoka NHS Newsletter

January 2015, Vol. 1, No. 1
January marked the arrival of the first National Park Service newsletter about Minidoka. Carol Ash, NPS chief of interpretation and education for the Minidoka National Historic Site, emailed the PDF document which includes news and updates.

Yosh Nakagawa and Rev. Brooks Andrews, both included in my Minidoka book, returned to the historic site to help work on the new documentary film about Rev. Emery Andrews, the minister of the Seattle Japanese Baptist Church. Brooks was a young child when his father moved the Andrews family to Twin Falls.

Dates are set for the 2015 Minidoka Civil Liberties Symposium and pilgrimage. The symposium will be held at Boise State University on June 24-25; the pilgrimage takes place June 26-28.

To receive future newsletters by email, contact Carol Ash: <carol_ash@nps.gov>.
